If Alberta becomes the 51st State, Washington becomes the new Ottawa

 This Alberta Separation nonsense has to be the most moronic thing I have ever heard in my life. I recently popped into one of those Alberta Prosperity Project meetings on separation. EVER SINGLE PERSON in that room was white as rice....not exactly the crowd at Cross Iron Mills on a Saturday.  Jeff Rath asked the crowd how many people wanted to break away from Canada and join the United States. About 90% of the 300 people in the room raised their hands. 

Alberta breaking apart from Canada and being land locked makes zero sense, BUT these morons would be interested in joining the United States, which to be fair would be the only option if Alberta would break away from Canada. 

The only problem is, Washington would be their new Ottawa. Make no mistake, the IRS will be coming to collect. Make no mistake, Alberta will be treated like a step child, a place to take resources from and that is all. It would be like Iraqi citizens after the Americans took out Saddam Hussein; it didn't go well for Iraq after that. They WISH they had Saddam back after how the Americans messed things up. The same would be the case here....Alberta would be begging for Ottawa to help them from the Americans, but it would be too late. 

We have a good thing about being a part of Canada. We can travel and trade in this country with no problems. Even the pro-oil people have it good.....Trudeau didn't use the RCMP swat teams and choppers to enforce a pipeline through first nations land in BC because he hated Alberta, he did it because it was a CANADIAN project, which would also benefit Alberta. Now I don't agree with it, and in 30 years there WILL be a price to pay those first nations peoples in terms of a settlement for the feds breaking the Supreme Court decisions, but that is another story. Basically, Alberta needs to compare Ottawa to Washington. The choice is clear as day. 

The United States is not a country to look up to. They create alot of terrorism and war around the world. They force their citizens to fight unjust wars that cause future problems. They are not even good to their own people, they do not provide health care to their citizens. Any campaign by people that wants to keep Canada together need to start comparing Ottawa and Washington side by side. The choice is clear for Alberta.
