Private Medicine is a bad way to go, and the UCP is pushing it

Some things are best left out of private hands, and that includes health care. Our government in Alberta under the UCP are prepping the province for private insurance and private medicine.

Ask any American what the looks like, and it means you and I paying alot more. My brother and sister in-law pay over $1000 USD every month for health care, and they are healthy. Imagine if a "pre-existing condition" comes up....they could be totally denied coverage or their premiums will rocket up, forcing them to sell their home.

We do not need this in Canada, at all. Our government has to do better at managing health care. Perhaps we need more local management of our health care system instead of a heavy hand from Edmonton. Community hospitals should be given funding and manage their own affairs. Right now we have Edmonton making decisions for small towns in Southern Alberta, and that is not acceptable.

When we do sell out to private corporations, we can not go back. At all. They will charge at will like our car insurance and make lives miserable. Every health decision will be made with profit in mind. Sorry we can't save you, it is cutting into our profits this quarter.

The people of Alberta need to defend public health care at all costs, and that includes private clinics doing surgeries. Once we remove our capacity to do surgeries, we will only have one expensive option...private.
